After an awareness-raising seminar on environmental issues at Ititoca in Wasquehal in January 2021, the seeds of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) have been slowly germinating within the Optimal Ways team. The mixed results of COP26 also made us realize that we can’t expect governments to take the lead in bringing about change, and that we all need to participate at our own level. After a few small concrete actions, such as the acquisition of a bean-to-cup coffee machine, the use of loose tea and the setting up of a compost plant for vegetable waste, we decided to reflect on a real roadmap in the field of “Care” with Cédric Leprince-Ringuet’s team at Ititoca. While we await the finalization of our roadmap, we have decided to continue our concrete actions with two strong commitments for the beginning of 2022:
- change electricity supplier to Enercoop, a French supplier of electricity from renewable sources. Its main objective is the development of renewable energies in France. Enercoop stands out from other suppliers thanks to its cooperative form and its unique 100% renewable offer under direct contract with producers.
- membership of 1% for the Planet, an international group of companies, associations and individuals working together for a healthier planet. In particular, Optimal Ways is committed to donating 1% of its annual sales to approved environmental associations.
