As part of our commitment to the 1% for the Planet France collective, Optimal Ways supports the preservation of biodiversity by joining forces with the association Terre & Humanisme. Ferme de la Noria project – An inspiring initiative
Located on the border between the Gard and Ardèche regions, the Ferme de la Noria is a veritable laboratory for innovation and ecological preservation. Under the impetus of Terre & Humanisme, this site embodies the symbiosis between agriculture and nature, where agroecological practices are implemented to protect ecosystems and strengthen resilience in the face of climate change. A cooperative and solidarity-based approach
Terre & Humanisme supports the farming world through a cooperative and solidarity-based approach, focusing on three major areas:
- Promoting and structuring a local agro-ecological sector: by encouraging collaboration between farmers, local authorities and citizens, the association works to preserve local biodiversity.
- Collaboration for biodiversity: by encouraging active cooperation between citizens, local authorities and farmers, the association sets up concrete initiatives to protect local biodiversity.
- Research and experimentation: Terre & Humanisme develops alternatives to pesticides through a rigorous program of research and experimentation, aimed at promoting environmentally-friendly farming practices.
Restoring biodiversity
In 2024, significant efforts were made to restore biodiversity throughout the farm, harmoniously integrating animal husbandry, agriculture, wild and cultivated areas. Among the actions undertaken, the planting of 150 trees and the creation of two ponds, accompanied by biodiversity inventories, underline the farm’s commitment to nature. Promoting agroecology
Ferme de la Noria applies innovative, sustainable farming techniques such as fermented forest litter, composting and micro-maraîchage sur sol vivant. These methods aim not only to regenerate soils, but also to improve water retention, increase biodiversity and guarantee the sustainability of our food system. Solidarity events
In 2024, two solidarity meals were organized in Robiac, bringing together over 150 people. These events, prepared with local produce, offered moments of sharing and conviviality, particularly for isolated elderly people, strengthening the local social fabric. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Terre et Humanisme for their dedicated work to preserve our planet’s biodiversity. Together, we’re working towards a greener, more sustainable future. ✨ Discover all their projects
