On July 4 and 5, 2024, the Optimal Ways team came together for an invigorating seminar, during two days of sharing, discovery and strategic thinking between Nieuport and Ypres, two charming towns in Belgium. The aim of the seminar was to work collaboratively on new customer offers, integrate our two new international interns and strengthen team cohesion through a variety of activities.
Development of new offers
One of the main objectives of this seminar was to reflect on and lay the foundations for new offerings designed to meet our customers’ needs. Interactive workshops enabled everyone to contribute their ideas and vision. This collaborative approach enabled us to integrate everyone’s ideas, so that we can continue to provide our customers with ever more relevant solutions.
Integration of Edhec trainees
Ritik, from India, and Matthew, from California, both students at Edhec, are now part of the team, bringing new perspectives. Their integration has been open and dynamic. They have been quick to take part in discussions and activities, actively contributing to the reflection on our new offering and enriching the team’s exchanges.
Strengthening team cohesion
The success of this seminar was also due to the team building activities on the second day in Nieuwpoort. Our team took part in several collaborative games organized byOutsider Coast, such as a giant memory game, a blind puzzle or a snake game in which you had to move forward as a group. The “blues” and “reds” battled it out in a joyous atmosphere, in a bid to win the greatest number of events.
Discovering Nieuport and Ypres
In addition to the team-building activities, this seminar was an opportunity to discover two Belgian towns: Nieuwpoort and Ypres. In Nieuwpoort, we enjoyed the seascape and peaceful atmosphere of the town. In Ypres, a town steeped in history, we were immersed in a rich past, commemorating the First World War. The seminar was a joyous moment of sharing and collaboration, combining innovation, integration and team cohesion. We paved the way for new offerings, welcomed two new talents to the team, discovered the incredible hospitality of the Flemish people and created many fond memories.
